FREE BC General Knowledge Test 1

Welcome to the first of our British Columbia General Knowledge Practice Tests, intuitive tools designed to help you master commercial driving theory. Whether you’re using a smartphone, tablet, or computer, you can practise whenever it suits you. Incorporate it in your daily study routine, and your knowledge will gradually improve with consistent practice. All 25 multiple-choice questions are based on the official British Columbia handbook Driving Commercial Vehicles, a guide for professional drivers. You should read its contents at least once to familiarize yourself with the various aspects of commercial driving theory.

Since this practice test is not timed, we recommend you adopt a slow and steady approach. Take your time to carefully read each question and its answer choices before you select the one you believe is correct. It is perfectly normal for beginners to make mistakes. If that happens, we’ll provide a detailed explanation of the correct answer so you can understand what went wrong. To boost your learning potential, we recommend noting this feedback down in a notebook or notebook app so you can revisit the material in your future training sessions.

The “Test settings” menu on the left side of the page lets you control several features to enhance your learning experience. Activate the voice-over function to increase the retention rate and remain focused on the practice test. This feature and the ambient music feature are especially effective in busy environments where you can easily get distracted.

Commercial driving carries great responsibility. When hauling fuel or chemicals across British Columbia, you must be cautious at all times. Even a small mistake can result in disaster. As a professional commercial driver, you must prioritize safety above all else. As you begin your learning phase, a passing score on the official general knowledge test should not be your only goal. We will help you ace this exam on your first attempt, but you must fully master this subject before you can proceed through the licensing process.

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal commercial applicants, and those adding endorsements
